MU Premises Safety
The rapid orientation of responding units of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) is a key prerequisite for the successful management of emergency interventions. For this purpose, the Facility Management Department of the Management of the University Campus at Bohunice prepares specialized safety documentation. Employees responsible for fire protection and occupational safety also contribute to its preparation, particularly to the textual content.
The data source used for the automated generation of this documentation is the MU Digital Passport.
Fire Safety Documentation
The Facility Management Division of the Management of the University Campus at Bohunice prepares these fire safety documents for most buildings of Masaryk University. For emergency response purposes, the documentation is made available to the Fire Rescue Service (FRS).
Fire Evacuation Plan
The Fire Evacuation Plan (FEP) is a key fire safety document that defines procedures and rules for the safe evacuation of people, animals, and property from a building threatened by fire. It is placed in a visible and easily accessible location so that it is available to all occupants in the event of an emergency.
It consists of:
- a textual section, usually prepared by fire safety specialists;
- a graphical section, generated from the MU Digital Passport.
The graphical section of the plan combines data from three sources:
- the Construction Passport (building structures, openings, and rooms);
- the Technology System Passport (fire extinguishers, hydrants, and fire alarm call points);
- a dedicated fire protection database (evacuation and escape route direction arrows).
Operational Card – Graphic Annex
The Operational Card is a simplified form of the Operational Plan within the Firefighting Documentation framework. It provides key information required for a rapid and safe emergency response in a specific building. The graphic annex includes a site plan of the immediate surroundings, including access roads and staging areas for fire-fighting vehicles, floor plans of individual building levels, marked building entrances, locations of fire safety equipment, water supply sources, features and obstacles that may affect firefighting operations.
Police Intervention Card
The Intervention Card (often referred to as an Operational Card) is a collection of key safety and tactical information designed to support the Czech Police (Police of the Czech Republic, PCR) and other Integrated Rescue System (IRS) units in rapidly orienting themselves when responding to emergencies or security incidents in a specific building. These cards provide police officers with real-time awareness of potential risk factors before arriving at the scene or immediately upon entering an unfamiliar building, enabling a faster, safer, and more effective response.
These documents are typically stored in digital form at Police of the Czech Republic (PCR) operations centers or made directly available to first-response patrol units to support a rapid and coordinated intervention.
The Intervention Cards are generated automatically from the MU Digital Passport. Their content primarily consists of graphical floor plans of individual building levels, highlighting all possible building entrances and the building's orientation in relation to its immediate surroundings, together with other relevant operational information.
The Facility Management Division of the Management of the University Campus at Bohunice is the sole provider and maintainer of Intervention Cards for all Masaryk University buildings.
