Our applications are now secured with a new single sign-on page. In addition to changing the look of the login page, the password has also changed. From now on you will be asked for your primary password. This change will allow you to switch between MU's applications without having to repeatedly log in.
Together with our colleagues from OFM SUKB, we released a new version of MapGEN and Kompas applications. It is now possible to export fire safety layers (fire compartments, fire doors and windows, escape routes) and their labels. This data is only available to users with granted access rights to the technology passport.
A new version (1.11.2) of the mapping library munimap was released. Since the last news a lot of bugs has been fixed and new features has been added. There is a new button for geolocation, a fullscreen toggle button, floor selector highlights floors with marked rooms, you can assign arbitrary color to custom markers, there are new types of points of interest, etc. (check version history, czech only).
Department of Facility Management finished work on symbology of technological devices. Besides from existing symbols for electrical, communications or firefighting devices, from now on you can tell apart devices of water supply, heating, sewage and other technologies. Size of the symbol expresses a priority, more "important" devices have larger symbols in the map. Working with Kompas is now easier than before.
Together with our coleagues from the Department of facility management we attended conference GIS Esri v ČR 2019, where we had a presentation and a poster called "MUNI 100 — The story of GIS". We mapped development and use of GIS at Masaryk University from the beginning 20 years ago to present day. The presentation is available online as a Story map and you can also look at the poster.
A new version of Kompas has been published. There is a new section called Personal settings, which will remember your choices for future sign-in. New data were published in the Fire safety module (escape routes). When viewing building information, you can now see a list of all virtual tours located in this building.
Kompas has a new fire safety module. It is available for all users with access to Technological module. Its purpose is to give you an overview of fire safety equipment present in university’s buildings (such as fire compartments, fireproof doors, water hydrants, fire extinguishers and other selected devices from Technological module).
There is a new map of public universities in Brno. You can use standard map controls and tools or visit university web pages. You can also download an overview map created by Department of facility management.
